Long Range Shooting Class

Saturday June 19th | 9am-4pm

The Foundation has organized a rare opportunity to learn how to shoot from some of the best in the business.  Retired Navy SEAL Senior Chief Charlie Melton is the lead instructor and is assisted by other SEALs and Special Operators.  Charlie served for 25 years on the teams and was on 9 combat deployments.

One of his duties was as a sniper instructor and he trained some of our most lethal snipers.  He trained Matt Axelson and Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell as well as Chris Kyle who had over 150 confirmed kills.  He also trained the men who neutralized the Somali pirates that held Captain Richard Phillips hostage, of the MV Maersk Alabama, in 2009.

The course begins with a class teaching the principles of shooting, how to practice them correctly and build muscle memory along with the environmental effects on shooting.  Then he goes thru rifle set up to make sure everyone’s rifle is set up correctly.  Then everyone heads to the range.  You will shoot at 100 yards until everyone is practicing the principles correctly and shooting tight groups.  Then you shoot every 100 yards out to 700 executing the principles correctly and begin to build that muscle memory.  You will be coached the entire time.  You will learn wind calling and the environmental effects on bullet flight.

The cost of the individual class is $1,000 and is a tax deductible donation.
